Lamsa Education App Donates Subscription Fees For Ramadan
Lamsa, the Arabic children’s education app, has launched a Ramadan campaign to donate proceeds from user subscription fees to provide meals for hundreds of orphaned children. Called “Lamsat Kheir,” the campaign runs throughout Ramadan in partnership with the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities, Etisalat and the Emirates Red Crescent.
Through its collaboration with Etisalat, subscription fees received through the telecommunications company will be donated via the Emirates Red Crescent, which will be responsible for distributing meals to the children in need. Badr Ward, CEO of Lamsa, said: “As a company, Lamsa is based upon a desire and responsibility to contribute to the community. Our dedication to social responsibility is even more heightened during Ramadan.”
“With every contribution that enriches the education of UAE children, we will help another child who is in need of care and attention. We believe that charity is a culture that must be instilled from childhood, so that future generations can fully realize their social responsibility down the line,” he said. “This concept is at the heart of Lamsa’s ongoing charitable programs that aim to provide education and food for those in need, laying the foundations for a better quality of life.”
Lamsa, the provider of the largest educational app for children in the Arab world, delivers a range of interactive content, with input and oversight from early childhood education experts from Finland. Through its diverse content, the interactive experiences provided through the app serve to stimulate imagination, learning and creativity among children. These interactive services form a core part of Lamsa’s vision to provide a reliable destination for children to learn, play and create in a fun and entertaining environment that is consistent with regional values.
Lamsa has received numerous local, regional and international awards. In 2017, Lamsa was named Best Children’s App in the Middle East and North Africa by Google Play, and Digital Book App of the Year by Etisalat.
