Pudhumai Thamizhachi, a team dedicated to women’s empowerment, has revealed plans to celebrate International Women’s Day in Abu Dhabi. The festivities will feature an event filled with captivating performances by the Pudhumai Thamizhachi team, competitions, music, food, and more. As per the organisers, this year’s event marks the second annual celebration, providing a platform for women and children to display their talents.

The event is not exclusively for Tamil women; women from other communities are also invited to participate. The event’s agenda includes a special category, Ms. Ameeragam 2024. Moreover, attendees can engage in various competitions such as solo singing, solo dance, group dance, fancy dress competition, and solo speech. Numerous prizes are up for grabs, including gold coins, silver coins, and silk sarees.

The Pudhumai Thamizhachi team has been actively engaged in numerous social service endeavours. Amid the Covid-19 pandemic, the team supplied nutritious meals and snacks to 500 families. In the previous year, the team organized a blood donation camp and conducted breast cancer awareness programs, including free mammogram tests. Furthermore, the team extended both moral and financial support to underprivileged students from the Tamil community in Abu Dhabi.

The team also regularly offers career guidance to school students through online and offline platforms.
