Taiwan Issues Global Call for Health Innovation: “Go Healthy with Taiwan 2025” Campaign Now Open

Reporting from Taipei, Taiwan: Taiwan is inviting innovators worldwide to join its mission for a healthier future. The “Go Healthy with Taiwan 2025 Campaign,” spearheaded by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) and part of the esteemed Taiwan Excellence initiative, has officially launched. This global call seeks groundbreaking proposals to improve health and well-being through collaborative efforts with Taiwanese companies.

At its core, the campaign, hosted on gohealthy.taiwanexcellence.org, champions the universal importance of health for a fulfilling life. It encourages organisations of all kinds—from companies and government bodies to research institutions and non-profits—to submit their visionary ideas. The goal is clear: leverage Taiwan’s high-quality products, advanced technologies, and innovative business models to tackle pressing health challenges across communities, cities, businesses, and even entire organisations globally. Selected proposals won’t just get recognition; they’ll receive direct support to establish powerful partnerships with Taiwanese enterprises, fostering real-world impact. This initiative firmly places Taiwan at the forefront of the international health innovation landscape.

During the campaign’s official launch on Tuesday, June 3, TITA Deputy Director General Ms. Susan Hu noted that President Lai Ching-te is actively advancing the vision of a “Healthy Taiwan.” The launch of this campaign marks a crucial step in realizing this vision by inviting global innovators to participate and collaborate in shaping a healthier and more sustainable future.

Mr. Joe Chou, Executive Vice President of TAITRA, emphasized that this international call not only highlights the strength and innovation of Taiwan’s comprehensive health industry but also encourages collaboration with global partners to develop smart and sustainable healthy lifestyles through Taiwan’s cutting-edge technologies and solutions.

The event also unveiled the campaign’s promotional theme, “Pitching Taiwan’s Best: A Home Run for Proposals!” The venue was transformed into a dynamic baseball field setting to symbolize Taiwan’s energetic and proactive international engagement. Taiwanese baseball star Mr. An-Ko Lin, known for his performance in the WBSC Premier12 tournament, made a surprise appearance alongside “Fu Bear,” the mascot of Taiwan Excellence. Their symbolic home runs at the event represented Taiwan’s determination to deliver its top-tier health solutions to the global stage while connecting with international innovators.

The press conference was graced by the presence of esteemed guests, including Mr. Robert Wu, Chairman of the Taiwan Bicycle Association; Mr. Jeff Chen, President of the Taiwan Sporting Goods Manufacturers Association; and Mr. Spark Huang, Director of the Taiwan Medical and Biotech Industry Association, as well as representatives from key industry sectors. In addition, media representatives from 12 international outlets spanning Europe, the United States, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East, along with members of the foreign diplomatic corps in Taiwan, attended the event to show their support.

Who Can Participate and How to Apply
So, who’s eligible to make a difference? The campaign welcomes proposals from companies, government units, legal entities, and non-legal groups, including research institutions, non-governmental organisations, public associations, academic societies, and universities. To get started, participants need to submit documentation verifying their affiliation—think website URLs, screenshots, registration certificates, or approval letters. Additionally, proof of identity and your connection to the organization, such as an employee business card, ID, or student ID, is required. A special note for younger innovators: if you’re a minor under your country’s laws, a parental or guardian consent letter will be needed before you advance to the semifinal stage.

All proposals must be submitted in English via the campaign’s official website by August 31, 2025. Your submission should focus on one of three key areas: applying existing Taiwanese products or solutions, engaging in technical cooperation with Taiwanese companies, or developing entirely new business models that integrate Taiwanese expertise. Crucially, your proposal must be relevant to your organisation and aim to boost health and well-being in your local area. Each submission will be judged on its innovation, feasibility, health benefits, and the strength of its connection to Taiwanese offerings. The organisers reserve the right to review qualifications and reject submissions that don’t meet the rules.

Major Incentives for Top Innovators
The “Go Healthy with Taiwan 2025” campaign isn’t short on rewards for groundbreaking ideas. Up to three winning proposals will each be awarded a significant USD 30,000 prize! However, the organisers might choose fewer or no winners, if the proposals don’t meet the high standards.

Beyond the cash, finalists will earn an unforgettable experience: an all-expenses-paid trip to Taiwan for up to two representatives. This includes round-trip economy airfare, comfortable accommodations, travel expenses, and meals for a thrilling “Go Healthy with Taiwan Tour.” This exclusive tour will take participants through the stunning landscapes of Eastern Taiwan, from Yilan’s famous hot springs and verdant views to Hualien’s breathtaking gorges and coastlines, and Taitung’s untouched natural beauty and vibrant indigenous communities. It’s a unique opportunity to immerse oneself in Taiwan’s culture and natural wonders.

A Legacy of Innovation: Taiwan Excellence and TAITRA
This campaign is built upon the robust foundation of the Taiwan Excellence initiative, which was established by the Ministry of Economic Affairs back in 1993. The Taiwan Excellence Awards are globally recognized for identifying products that truly shine in research and development, design, quality, and marketing—all proudly “Made in Taiwan.” These award-winning products serve as a showcase of Taiwan’s innovation and help elevate the global image of Taiwanese businesses. The iconic Taiwan Excellence symbol, with its six interwoven arcs, visually represents Taiwan’s deep connection to the global economy, the strong unity of its manufacturers, and the passion that fuels its industries. These arcs also symbolize completeness, reflecting Taiwan’s cultural dedication to wholeness and unwavering commitment to excellence.

TAITRA, the driving force behind this campaign, is Taiwan’s leading non-profit trade promotion organization. Established in 1970 and supported by the government and industry, TAITRA boasts a global network of over 1,200 international marketing specialists across its Taipei headquarters and 50 overseas offices. Alongside its sister organizations, TAITRA works to forge trade opportunities and foster international collaboration, a mission perfectly embodied by the “Go Healthy with Taiwan” campaign.

Industry representatives, media, and diplomats gathered to show their support.
